Hervey Bay Occupational Health was established in 2006 by Occupational Therapist, Joanna Chandler.
Hervey Bay Occupational Health specialises in the provision of services to adults with injuries, disabilities or conditions affecting their physical and/or cognitive function. We provide a broad range of Occupational Therapy across many sectors including return to work, medico-legal, case management, aged care and the NDIS.
Hervey Bay Occupational Health is a mobile service, enabling provision of services in the home, on the worksite or in the community to ensure that assessments and treatments are customised to each individual client.
As a sole trader, clients are guaranteed to receive professional services directly from an experienced, senior Occupational Therapist, committed to establishing a partnership with clients and delivering desired outcomes.
Our Aim.
To deliver specialist Occupational Health and Occupational Therapy services to Hervey Bay, Maryborough and the Wide Bay Burnett region, combining experience with local knowledge and support.

Joanna Chandler.
Joanna has been an Occupational Therapist for 20 years, graduating from the University of Queensland in 1999 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
Joanna spent her early professional years honing her clinical skills in a variety of settings both in metropolitan and regional Australia and the United Kingdom. In 2004 she commenced working in the Occupational Health and Rehabilitation field in a variety of capacities: as a contracting consultant, in-house for a self-insurer and as an employee for a nationwide Occupational Health and Rehabilitation company. In late 2005 she was fortunate enough to move to Hervey Bay and shortly thereafter identified a need for a private practice in her area of specialty.
Joanna established Hervey Bay Occupational Health in 2006 and has worked in this capacity and as a clinical Occupational Therapist for the Wide Bay Health Service since this time.
Joanna is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure that she delivers the most relevant and evidence-based practice to her clients, for example she is a licensed Workhab Evaluator and is Humanscale trained. Joanna is a Member of Occupational Therapy Australia and values her membership in several other local, state and nationally based professional interest groups, in order to remain abreast of the most contemporary service options for her clients. Joanna is an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist.
